Installing PPR (Polypropylene Random Copolymer) pipe fittings involves several steps. Here's a general guide to help you with the installation process:
Gather the necessary tools and materials: You will need PPR pipes, PPR fittings (such as elbows, couplings, tees, etc.), a pipe cutter or saw, a deburring tool, PPR welding machine, PPR welding rods, measuring tape, and a marker.
Prepare the pipes: Measure and mark the required length of the PPR pipe using a measuring tape and marker. Cut the pipe carefully using a pipe cutter or saw. Ensure the cut is clean and square.
Deburr the pipe ends: Use a deburring tool to remove any rough edges or burrs from the cut pipe ends. This step ensures a smooth connection and prevents leaks.
Heat the PPR fittings: Set the PPR welding machine to the appropriate temperature according to the manufacturer's instructions. Insert the PPR welding rod into the welding machine and allow it to heat up.
Join the fittings and pipes: Once the PPR welding rod is sufficiently heated, place the fitting on one end of the pipe and the heated welding rod into the fitting socket. Hold them in place until the welding rod partially melts the PPR fitting and the pipe. Make sure the pipe goes all the way into the fitting socket to create a secure joint.
